The Small Pro processes 6-9 pounds of fresh food per batch, producing 1.5-2 gallons of freeze-dried food. This capacity is ideal for individuals or small families with limited freeze-drying needs. At 26.8" tall x 17.4" wide x 21.5" deep and 98 pounds, it fits comfortably in most kitchens while running on standard 110V power.

The included Premier pump requires oil changes every 20-25 batches for optimal performance. Daily maintenance involves checking oil levels and ensuring proper pump operation. The unit comes with vacuum pump oil and an oil filter for initial maintenance needs. For completely maintenance-free operation, you can upgrade to the oil-free pump for $1,995.

The Small Pro Stainless Steel freeze dryer handles fruits, vegetables, meats, prepared meals, and properly prepared liquids like soups. Foods with high water content freeze dry most effectively. Avoid high-fat foods like butter or chocolate, as they lack sufficient water content for the sublimation process to work properly.

The included 50 mylar bags and 50 oxygen absorbers work together to create an airtight storage environment for your freeze-dried food. The impulse sealer creates hermetic seals on the mylar bags, while oxygen absorbers remove residual oxygen to prevent spoilage. This combination enables the 25-year shelf life when stored properly.

Ensure proper ventilation around the vacuum pump, never operate with damaged seals, and avoid opening the chamber during cycles. The unit operates under vacuum conditions, so follow all included safety guidelines. Keep the area clear and place the 98-pound unit on a stable, level surface to prevent movement during operation.

The stainless steel freeze dryer includes a full one-year warranty covering the freeze dryer, Premier oil vacuum pump, and all components for manufacturing defects. Years two and three provide limited warranty coverage for the compressor, condenser, and evaporator. Normal wear items like seals and vacuum pump oil are not covered under warranty.

The Small Pro has 4 trays and processes 6-9 pounds per batch, compared to the Medium (5 trays, 10-15 pounds) and Large (6 trays, 18-23 pounds). All models use standard 110V power, but the Small Pro's compact footprint and stainless steel construction make it ideal for individuals or small families prioritizing durability and space efficiency.
