Splitit gives you the ability to split your purchase over 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 months interest-free payments for orders up to $3,000 using your Visa and MasterCard credit card.
At the time of purchase, once the business confirms the shipment, the shopper will only be charged for the first payment.
The remaining balance will be held on the credit card until the final payment is made. After each monthly payment, the amount held from the available balance will be reduced to the new remaining balance.
*Note that the held amount might show as ‘pending transaction’ on your credit card statement.
Checkout with Splitit if:
The order is $3,000 or less; and
You want to pay over a longer period (up to 6 months versus 6 weeks for Klarna’s Pay in 4); and
You don’t mind having your card authorized for the entire order amount (rest assured, you’ll only be charged first month's instalment amount); and
You don’t want to run any soft credit checks; and
You want to pay 0% interest over the course of your payments.

Pay in 4 gives you the ability to split any purchase into 4 equal interest-free payments, with payments being collected every 2 weeks
Choose & checkout with Klarna’s Pay in 4 if:
You want to use your debit or credit card; and
The order is less than or equal to $1,500; and
You want to pay for the order in a shorter timeframe (6 weeks); and
You don't want to tie up the entire order amount as an authorization on your credit card; and
You don’t mind running a soft credit check; and
You want to pay 0% interest over the course of your payments.
Monthly Financing
Klarna offers the ability to finance orders up to $10,000 starting from 6 to all the way 36 months with APR rates ranging from 0-24.99% all through a simple, 2-step application which will provide an instant approval decision within minutes. Once approved, you can easily manage payments & set reminders directly in the Klarna app.
Choose & checkout with Klarna’s Monthly Financing if:
You don’t mind running a hard credit check; and
You need to finance a larger order that is less than or equal to $10,000.

Manage your orders and payments in the Klarna app or Splitit web portal.
Absolutely nothing! Once you place an order your credit card will be preauthorized for the entire value of the order just to make sure the balance is available. However, you'll only be charged for the first month with no added fees, transaction charges, or the likes—the service is completely free to use!
No, there is no impact whatsoever on your credit score if you choose to finance your purchase. During this entire process, we don't even ask for your SSN (social security number). You just need to make sure that there is enough room on the credit card to do a preauthorized charge for the entire value of the order.
WWhen you pay in 4, we split your purchase into 4 equal payments. We collect the first payment when your order ships. The remaining 3 payments are collected every 2 weeks. You spread the cost over 6 weeks, with no interest or fees if you pay on time.
We’ll email you if your payment is unsuccessful. We’ll also try one more time to collect it. If we can’t collect it the second time, then it will be added to your next payment along with a late fee of up to $7.00.
