Grower's Choice ROI-E680 LED Grow Light Review

Grower's Choice ROI-E680 LED Grow Light Review

Money is always a primary consideration when choosing a grow light for your indoor garden. You may have specific features in mind, but if you don’t have the budget for it, it will only remain on the drawing boards of your plans. But Grower’s Choice believes otherwise.

If you are a medium-scale grower but with a limited budget, then you should check the ROI-E680 by Grower’s Choice.

You’ll be surprised that, for its price, it brings more value to your indoor garden. And if you’ve already owned other grow lights, you’ll be pressed to ask yourself, why did you only see this grow light now.

So, what can you expect from the ROI-E680?

Features

The ROI-E680 is a full spectrum grow light designed for medium-sized indoor spaces. It comes with the 3K full PAR spectrum that Grower’s Choice takes pride in. It has a footprint that can illuminate a 5 x 5 feet grow space. While it uses 680 watts of power, the ROI-E680 is energy-efficient, as it lets you save up to 40 percent of electricity costs when compared to non-LED grow lights of the same caliber.

Grower's Choice ROI-E680 Wavelength

The ROI-E680 offers a PAR efficiency of 2.6 umols/J, which is above the industry benchmark.

The nice thing about the ROI-E680 is it can work with many third-party lighting controllers. If you already have a preferred controller, there’s a good chance it will work with the ROI-E680.

If you want to unleash this grow light’s full potential, it will be better to pair it with the Grower’s Choice Master Controller. But, even without the controller, you can still take the lead in this grow light’s intensity, using the onboard dimmer.

The ROI-E680 also uses passive cooling. You won’t need fans, and if your space is limited, you can hang the ROI-680 for as low as eight inches above your plants without your plants complaining.

Grower's Choice ROI-E680

When it comes to the price, you’re in for a treat. The ROI-E680 is cheaper than other LED grow lights of similar stature. At its price, it’s pretty hard to beat it, considering the value it brings to your indoor garden. And, since the ROI-E680 uses Osram Top Bin Diodes, that sweetens the deal you get from this grow light.

Should You Buy the ROI-E680?

If you are looking to upgrade that grow light and you run a medium-sized grow space, then yes, you should consider the ROI-E680.

For only $799, this grow light provides the best value for your money. When pitted with other LED grow lights in the market, this grow light comes out cheaper than its competition. Not to mention, the ROI-E680 comes with three-year warranty coverage, which sweetens the deal you get with this grow light.

Conclusion

It’s going to be tough to look for a grow light that matches the Grower’s Choice ROI-E680. The features and performance of this grow light are something you don’t get from a grow light at this price range. And if there are any, it would have some drawbacks or disadvantages that would still put the ROI-E680on top.

The ROI-E680s is lighter than the ROI-E680. Aside from that, the E680s features better components and better controller capabilities.

Spec-wise, there’s not much of a difference between the two. That said, if you need something slightly lighter, the E680s is the way to go. It’s also worth noting that the two fixtures are priced the same.
